Marina de Tavira is a Mexican actress born in Mexico City on November 30, 1973. Since she was a child, she has been interested in acting and decided to study at the Casa del Teatro in Plaza de la Conchita in Coyoacán. Although she initially focused on theater, she soon started to delve into both film and television. She is the daughter of Luis de Tavira, a theater director, and cousin of José María de Tavira (from "Amar te duele").
She made her film debut in 2005 in "Hijas de su madre: Las Buenrostro" and went on to appear in "Un mundo maravilloso" (2006), "Efectos secundarios" (2006), "La Zona" (2007), "Amor, dolor y viceversa" (2008), "Casi divas" (2008), "Cinco días sin Nora" (2008), "Desafío" (2010), "Viento en contra" (2011), "Espacio interior" (2012), "Los árboles mueren de pie" (2015), and "Ana y Bruno" (2017).
In 2018, she participated in Alfonso Cuarón's acclaimed film "Roma," which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award in the category of Best Supporting Actress.
