He is a Mexican male figure skater. He was the national champion in 2020 and qualified three times for the final in the Four Continents Championship (2018, 2019, 2020). In the Senior World Championship 2018, he became the first Mexican skater to qualify for the final in a Senior World Championship. Since 2019, he has been the only Mexican skater capable of landing the triple axel in an official ISU competition. In 2021, he became the first Mexican skater to attempt a quadruple jump in an international competition (Challenge Cup) and placed 20th in the Senior World Championship 2021 held in Stockholm, Sweden. This allowed him to qualify for the Winter Olympic Games Beijing 2022, a historic qualification, as Mexico had no representatives in figure skating at the Olympic Games since Albertville 1992 (Ricardo Olavarrieta and Mayda Navarro).
